Having British heritage probably inspires me to watch what is going on in England but besides all of that, I noticed last fall at the New York Gift Show that the Union jack seemed to be popping up on various products. A British trend seems to be growing , especially now as Prince William and Kate Middleton wedding is coming up on April 29th. Souvenirs are abound and even technology is getting in on the act as iPhone cases are specially being designed to honor this British celebration.
Most of us like to decorate with a theme so why not with the Union Jack to add some spark into your interior? This linen Union Jack Pillow, is a fun accent pillow for any decor.
This is quite a departure from Charlotte’s career of designing wedding dresses. Charlotte doesn’t just stick to the Union Jack, she also makes American Flag pillows in soft tonal linens as well as in Britain’s classic vintage red, white and blue combination.
As a lover of furniture, who could not resist this fabulous french love seat or the dresser with a British flag on it? I feel it makes a whimsical and political comment. Peter Scott definitely likes to put a touch of England into his interiors. This seat would be great in an entrance way.

Even fashion has jumped on the Union Jack band wagon. This Chanel bag is classic yet modern. Super model Agyness Deyn wore it in England but as we know, fashion comes first then interiors follow. Just shows you, this bag came out in London a while ago, setting trends as usual. Of course, you don’t have to be British to own one.
Why not flaunt a little British style with your footwear. Flats are the rage right now but sneakers are always in. I would expect to see wellingtons from England but they seem to have more punch with the flag on them. These would be fantastic if worn with blue jeans!
If your a patriot and a foodie, then you just might need the Smeg Union Jack fridge or a patriotic gas range. Also, an ottoman is a great addition to a bedroom or living room. Nothing more comfortable than an ottoman to rest your tootsies on while watching your favorite show! Ottoman’s are great functional pieces of furniture as they serve various purposes yet still being stylish. Just add a tray on top if you want to serve drinks or appetizers for guests. This one would be a center of attention no matter where you placed it.

You can find various bags, shoes, underwear, socks, tops, dresses etc. celebrating the Union Jack. The tights might be a bit wild but I love the bracelet from Anna Lou. The belt and watch are great with any casual attire.Did you know blue is one of the most popular colors in America? Well maybe it should be in England?

I met Emma Bridgewater last fall at the New York Gift Show. She was terrific and so were her felt pillows. Very luxurious. She is now branching out her love of the Union Jack and is making other products, starting with a set of china. Of course, the tea pot and cups are a must if your British. Who wouldn’t love to have a cup of tea with her while sitting comfy with her pillows?
Last but not least, lets not forget our best friends. Yes, our favorite pets should get some of that London love. Sleeping pretty has never been so patriotic or stylish. They deserve it.
Ta Ta for now.
