Graphic Style with Simple Prints

October 4, 2010 By Jaima Leave a Comment

The new look today in wallpapers and fabrics are two colored prints. Simple and bold yet sophisticated. Perfect for creating a modern look with hints of traditional flare. Bold prints exude  a fresh, young  style that seems to be popular today in home interiors and fashion.

Vintage Inspirations.

While meandering through  the flea market in Paris, I came upon this 18th century vintage french fabric which totally inspired two different wallpaper designs and to my surprise, my wedding dress.

The traditional french laurel leaves, often stylized into more formal acanthus leaves  flow effortlessly drawing the eye over and around the pattern.   I used them on the bodice of my dress and all over the train of the wedding dress.  Beads were specifically selected to match a custom swarovski crystal tiara.  Some crystals had clear sequins sewn over them to deflect the light and illuminate the design.

Here I was,  incorporating something old into no prescription propecia something new…..a design mantra that I live by in design.

Look for more ideas on weddings in the future.
