THE SYMBOLISM OF A “DAISY” FLOWER

Hi, I’m Jaima, a designer who loves flowers. After blogging about this spring’s  floral fashion trend, I started to think about our English lab named Daisy.  She was a birthday gift I gave my husband and once he got this adorable pup in his arms, he promptly named her “Daisy.”  The Daisy name comes from our family history and is my actually my “nickname”.  Well, the nickname originated  from my two aunties…..Aunt Maud and Daisy who lived in England.   In  honor of them, my mother nicknamed my sister and I Maud and Daisy as  we supposedly  looked and behaved a lot like our aunties.  Thinking about the name and flower Daisy  made me wonder about the meaning and symbolism of a “Daisy?”  Read on…
