Chic Bedrooms for Cool Girls

March 28, 2011 By Jaima Leave a Comment

Bedrooms are so sophisticated now for  teenagers. I remember having a lovely little yellow and green floral striped wallpaper in my bedroom with a dark green shag rug( which I loved by the way).  I also shared my room with my twin sister and we each had single beds. Now girls have double beds and their own rooms. Amazing how times have changed and kids are all grown up at such a young age. With that comes sophistication and great design.  Have a look at some of my favorite rooms for teenage girls and let me know your favorites and why?

Love the zebra bedding with the light turquoise walls. A nice crisp, funky and clean statement.

This aqua and shrimp combo is very elegant and mature. Perfect to grow up with  for a young lady.  The coral graphic print is a perfect accent to the aqua walls. The result is feminine yet sophisticated. I wonder if the room is kept so neat in real life? I Doubt it!

Soft celery green walls with black polka dot bedding and pink toile pillows to make it pop creates a fabulous juxtaposition of colors.  As the  bed becomes the focal point of this room, what young girl doesn’t love black and pink? The mirrored dressers  hint a touch of glam as well as the silver painted posts on the bed. One of the whimsical ideas is the chandelier wall decor mocking ones vision while  creating a ” not so serious” room to be in.

Don’t you just love it, love  it, love it? The blending of the  dramatic zebra headboard and bed skirt with the soft elegance of the pink mural wallpaper creates total visual drama. Of course, the turquoise bean bag makes an instant eye catching diversion from  the vibrant bedding and grounds the entire design. I think Grant Gibson did a fabulous job of making the interior have a fun  and edgy aspect to it. This decor  can  easily change from being a teenagers room to a young  adult room or guest suite simply by swapping out the headboard and bed skirt print for   a more subtle print.

My favorite room is the aqua and shrimp decor as it seems calmer and quieter yet more mature. Which is your favorite?
