A Stylish Interiors Showroom: White Horse Fabric & Design

September 28, 2015 By Jaima 2 Comments

Last week I was in Wayne PA and got to visit a new designer showroom “White Horse Fabric and Design” which is owned by interior designer Felicia Layne.  A brilliantly talented woman who created this new showroom in Berwyn, PA.  which is filled with stylish furniture, transitional art, unique accessories and colorful wallpapers and fabrics.   Felicia viewed the latest Jaima Brown Home Collection: Chelsea Lane, which launches in October. Felicia got a preview of this collections dramatic fabrics which include a large scale butterfly design, an Asian Toile and a grand Peony floral.  With Felicia’s creative vision, she can easily create statement looks with any of her designer products.

With  Steve Barbato, myself,  Felicia  and her daughter, tasted some delicious treats that were paired with a glass of Champagne as we toasted to  the  opening of “White Horse Fabric and Design”.   Felicia’s design talent and highly organizational skills shows throughout the beautifully designed space which  makes it easy for them to service customers with lots of creative ideas.

Weekly Refresh: Show Me The Light

DVF for Evian Water

Capping off the week of items  DVF are the endeavors that solidify her as one of fashion’s 1%ers – her collaborations. Wether initials paired with brands ranging all the way from Roxy to Evian, there is nowhere she won’t leave a happy heart…and those brands are all a little better for it. I mean, look at those bottles of water…they alone could convert this packaging junky into the model of perfect hydration.

Trend Tuesday: Kitschy Meets Couture

Trend Tuesday: Kitschy Meets Couture

Kitschy doesn’t have to mean tacky…well actually it does…it’s actually the definition of tacky. It doesn’t mean that kitschy can’t be cool though. If this flamingo chandelier isn’t the epitome for kitschy, I don’t know what is, but look at it dimly lit and paired with some beautiful floral wallpaper.  What an artful piece it would make in a glossy white dining room accented with some small pops of bright color? If you want less, how about a single Flamingo wall sconce?

Recycled Bicycle Wheels Make Contemporary Art

May 30, 2013 By Jaima Leave a Comment

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle…Repeat

This isn’t the first time I’ve posted about amazing recycled and reclaimed items, and it won’t be the last.  Today’s post comes via North Carolina artist Kent Youngstrom.  Yes, there is deep and symbolic meaning behind his works, but I love them for their rustic look and mixed media composition alone.  I mean a bike wheel on a wood plank painting?  Genius!  A new piece of art not in your summer budget?  Go green-er and make your own!

Pet Friendly Teepees!

May 22, 2013 By Jaima Leave a Comment

Pet Friendly

Because what pet doesn’t need their own personal teepee? Well, at least all of the cool cats and dogs need one.  What a fun way to add a little whimsy to your indoor (or outdoor) space.  Super cute and available in two different colors, this cat teepee is truly something unique.  Have no fear dog owners, they make a chic version for your babies too!!

What’s Mine is Yours

What’s Mine is Yours

Award winning sculptor Malen Pierson is a master of creating something from nothing; taking your old castoffs and making his one-of-a-kind works of art.  From his various compounds of metal scraps and found objects arise majestic animals of considerable size and stature.  Malen also translates this folk art creativity into paintings that feature layered textures and varied compositions.  These striking stallions…and goats…and herons could make  great guests for your next al fresco party!
