A WEEKEND IN NEW YORK: PART 1

May 2, 2011 By Jaima 4 Comments

Here is my visual inspiration from my New York weekend. I went to New York for  a family wedding which was fabulous.  On Saturday, I visited the  Cooper Hewitt Museum to see the Van Cleff & Arpels jewelry show. It was really interesting. A must see if your in New York.  First of all, going to New York in the spring is terrific as the weather is fabulous and all the tulips, daffodils and trees are blooming. Truly a great visual.

I love these giant roses and insects. They are a classic and  at the same time, flowers were blooming everywhere, even in display windows for Banana Republic stores and various other specialty shops like Ralph lauren. The trend is leaning towards  more feminine looks which include roses, birds and lace. These are the up and coming design motifs to watch for next year and this fall.

More New York images to come.
Cheers. Jaima

I have not checked in here for a while as I thought it was getting boring, but the last few posts are good quality so I guess I’ll add you back to my everyday bloglist. You deserve it my friend 🙂
