Design

Jaima Emmert, designer and stylist, has made a name for herself in all aspects of artistic design. From high end wallpapers and fabrics, to jewelry and bags, Jaima’s creations allow her clients to surround themselves with beauty wherever they go... Jaima’s interior wallpaper and fabrics, handbags and jewelry creations suit the modern traditionalist lifestyle. Her rich signature colors are inspired by foreign travel and luxury collectibles. Innovative and inspirational, her designs produce a visual experience and bring a sense of style and refinement into any home or wardrobe.

Inspiration

Exotic travels, vintage fabrics, quaint markets, gardens, fashion and culture are all areas of influence for Jaima’s unique designs. She is also inspired by a rich variety of materials. While exploring the colorful world of Asia, she discovered a vast market of pearls, crystals, semi precious gems and colorful fabrics spiraling her with delight into the world of jewelry and handbag design. Not having the right bag to go out at night with her on the trip, inspired her to create her Day into Night Clutch. It was then she knew to start a new adventure in design and created Jaima & Co to share her one of a kind fashion pieces with the world.

Life

As a child, Jaima’s summers were spent roaming the English countryside, which refined her sense of color and cultivated her zeal for flowers. She would also spend hours in her mother’s art studio, learning and mixing a vast array of colors and paints. Thus began her love of art... After graduating with a degree in Art History, she realized her passion was design. In addition to actually creating designs, she has frequently travelled across country and educated designers on the history of wallpaper, design techniques, and upcoming trends. At home, Jaima is a loving wife and proud owner of a parrot and an English Labrador. The lab, Daisy, was the inspiration for the Daisy logo. When she is not busy being an artist, designer, interior stylist and wife, Jaima can be found skiing, running, traveling, and cooking. In addition, Jaima has served on the Board of Directors for the Color Marketing Group and is currently active with Easter Seals of Metropolitan Chicago
